Woman killed in Wisconsin hit-and-run, teenager arrested for OWI, homicide

DUNN, Wis. (WFRV) – A 17-year-old girl allegedly fled the scene of a deadly hit-and-run in western Wisconsin and was later arrested on OWI and homicide charges.

Deputies with the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office say that dispatch got a call on Saturday, March 29, around 7:15 a.m. from someone reporting seeing a woman, who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle, in a ditch.

When first responders arrived at the scene on County Highway Y between 330th Avenue and 370th Avenue in the Town of Dunn, the woman was found just off the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities were able to get information about a possible suspect vehicle and found it shortly after.

The alleged driver, a 17-year-old girl, was arrested for OWI – First Offense, Hit and Run Causing Death, and Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle.
