Walleye Weekend kicks off in Fond du Lac with fishing tournaments, music and activities

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Walleye Weekend is back in action with plenty of free fun for families and friends alike across Fond du Lac.

The event kicked off on Friday at 3 p.m. and runs through Sunday, with fishing tournaments, live music and family activities.

St. Joseph Backpack Food Assistance Program distributed nearly 43K meals to students

Lakeside Evening Kiwanis is offering plenty of themed food, of course, a walleye dinner and walleye sandwiches as well as fish and chips.

However, the event featured new activities, including a chalk art contest, animal races and even trackless train rides. Live music was available on three separate stages, and food vendors provided a variety of cuisine to celebrate the fun weekend.

The hours are as follows:

  • Friday, June 6 – 3-10 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 7 – 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 8 – 10 am. – 5 p.m.
