DOUGLAS COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – A County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin is reminding residents that just because marijuana is legal to purchase in one state, it doesn’t make it legal to use in Wisconsin.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported that it recovered nearly a dozen pounds of weed.

“If you’re going to Michigan or Minnesota to visit your drug dealer, don’t bring your ‘legal’ weed to Douglas County,” the post said. “It’s not legal in Wisconsin.”
The post continued, saying the 11.5 pounds of marijuana deputies seized are allegedly similar to products found in some schools, and that the sheer amount is abnormal.
“This is [an] intent to deliver and we will send you to prison,” the post said.
