Manitowoc Police searching for sport bike operator who fled officers, led high-speed chase

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – The Manitowoc Police Department is seeking public assistance in finding the operator of a sport bike that fled officers, leading them on a pursuit that was terminated.

The Manitowoc Police Department reported that officers tried to pull a white sport bike over around 4:17 p.m. on Monday due to speeding violations and illegible plates.

The operator stopped at a South 23rd and Dewey Street stop sign after an officer activated the sirens; however, the operator fled westbound quickly while weaving through traffic.

The traffic stop and pursuit were terminated due to safety concerns. The motorcycle in question is a white and blue Honda sport bike, operated by a person in a black helmet, jacket and pants with white high-top shoes.
