Fire damages Fond du Lac Culver’s, cause under investigation

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A fire in the attic of a local northeast Wisconsin Culver’s on Friday caused smoke and water damage to the building.

According to the Fond du Lac Fire Rescue (FDLFR), crews were sent to the Culver’s Restaurant on West Pioneer Road just after 1:50 a.m. on April 26 after receiving reports of a fire in the attic.

When crews arrived, smoke was visible from the roof of the Culver’s building. It was noted that at that time, a construction company was doing work on the roof of the building and were the ones to report the fire.

Firefighters were able to gain access to the attic space and had to ‘open holes’ in the ceiling in multiple areas to get to the fire, which was then quickly put out.

The building sustained smoke and water damage, FDLFR officials say. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
