ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – As opening day approaches in less than 48 hours, Ashwaubomay Lake has unveiled a new feature to provide individuals with disabilities a way to get out on the water.
The ‘Mobi-Chair’ Floating Beach Wheelchair was purchased through donations from Options for Independent Living and the Ashwaubenon Lions Club.
Swing into summer by supporting the Miracle League of the Fox Valley
The new device is designed specifically to allow wheelchair users to move freely and efficiently on the sand, while also enabling them to enter the water.
Ashwaubomay Lake opens for the summer on June 7 at 11 a.m.
