Riley Green has released Think As You Drunk, a new country single built around a playful title and a clear tribute to Toby Keith. The song includes Keith’s voice from As Good as I Once Was in the outro, connecting Green’s new release to one of his longtime musical influences.
The track was written by Green with Jessi Alexander, Erik Dylan, and Wyatt McCubbin. Keith and Scotty Emerick also receive writing credit because of the interpolation used in the song. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Toby Keith Foundation, which supports children receiving cancer treatment.
Think As You Drunk keeps the mood light, with a barroom setting and a chorus made for sing-alongs. Still, the Keith connection gives the release added weight for country fans who remember his mix of humor, confidence, and heart.
The single arrives during a busy stretch for Green, who has been touring, acting, and preparing his upcoming album That’s Just Me.
