GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – National Foster Care Awareness Month is annually commemorated in May, and Foundations Health and Wholeness held an open house on Tuesday to recognize and spread the word.
Wisconsin high school senior donates sensory kits to police department
The event, held at the Foundation Health and Wholeness building at 1061 West Mason Street, ran from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., highlighting a need for foster parents across Wisconsin.
President and CEO Ryan Good said via a release that this moment in time is crucial for awareness to become action.
“There are youth in our communities right now who need someone to step in and provide stability, support and care,” Good said via the release.

The Community Open House Event included meet and greets with foster care team members, a facility tour and lessons on how foster care works/how to get involved, even without being prepared to foster full-time.
