(WFRV) – A massive and multi-year drug trafficking case in central Wisconsin has successfully concluded after over a dozen people were sentenced to prison time.

According to a release from Chadwick M. Elgersma, the United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, the conclusion of the case has been reached with 13 sentenced to prison for their roles.
The case began in February 2022 when the Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force started an investigation into a meth and cocaine trafficking organization out of Marathon County led by Tommie Haney and Quo Vadis Lewis.

Investigators seized multiple mailed packages containing drugs, completed 32 controlled purchases and executed numerous search warrants.
The following items were seized via the investigation:
- 12+ kilograms of cocaine
- 285 grams of crack cocaine
- 6 kilograms of methamphetamine
- 1 kilogram of marijuana
- 14 guns
- $47,405 in cash
Haney and Lewis, considered the leaders of the large-scale trafficking group, were sentenced to 14 years and 12.5 years in prison, respectively.

The other defendants are as follows, according to the release:
- 44-year-old Lawrence Lavergne of Wausau—9 years in prison, 8 years supervised release
- 44-year-old Jaison Coleman of Marshfield—8.5 years in prison, 3 years supervised release
- 29-year-old Teala Kumbera of Schofield—4.5 years in prison, 3 years supervised release
- 33-year-old Shandel Mohr of Marshfield—366 days in prison, 3 years supervised release
- 51-year-old Troy Olsen of Wausau—45 months in prison, 3 years supervised release
- 48-year-old Craig Gates of Wausau—106 months in prison, 5 years supervised release
- 44-year-old Edwin Lewis of Chicago—12 years in prison, 5 years supervised release
- 41-year-old Johntay Johnson of Wausau—8 years in prison, 3 years supervised release
- 43-year-old Samuel Teague of Wausau—8 years in prison, 5 years supervised release
- 38-year-old Travis Ingram of Mosinee—52 months in prison, 5 years supervised release
- 39-year-old Markqui White of Weston—70 months in prison, 3 years supervised release
- 31-year-old Shelby Gutch of Neillsville—24-month diversion agreement
A total of 14 defendants were listed in the convictions; however, just one was not listed with prison time.
