(WFRV) – Two 21-year-old men, including one from Green Bay, were arrested following a 30-mile pursuit that reached speeds of over 130mph early Saturday morning in southern Wisconsin.
According to a release and criminal complaint from the Germantown Police Department, officers observed a black Audi sedan with an unknown registration and too dark a window tint at 1:17 a.m. on I-41 and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
As the officer’s squad car exited the median of I-41, the Audi accelerated at a high rate of speed, leading to a pursuit. The Audi exited I-41 at Highway 145, continuing on at speeds over 100mph.
Throughout the rest of what became a nearly 30-mile pursuit through Washington County, the Audi re-entered and exited I-41 multiple times, reaching speeds of over 130mph, all while disregarding traffic control devices.

Officers say they were eventually able to successfully deploy spike strips on I-41 near Holy Hill Road, causing 3 out of 4 tires to deflate. The Audi was beginning to smoke and pulled to the shoulder of I-41 just to the north of Freistadt Road.
Once on the shoulder of the road, the criminal complaint states two people exited the vehicle and began fleeing on foot over a fence and into a wooded area.
With assistance from a K9 unit and a drone operator, both 21-year-old Alijah Rucker from Milwaukee and 21-year-old Aromonte Ashford from Green Bay were found and arrested. A search of the vehicle found multiple THC packages, a small digital scale, and a blue facsimile firearm.
Both suspects had the following charges referred:
- Fleeing and eluding an officer
- Second-degree recklessly endangering safety
- Obstructing an officer
While speaking with Ashford, the suspect reportedly told officials that they had been leaving from a party, and a third person was involved. When informed of the charges and possibly going to jail, Ashford told police they fled because “We were scared” and “We didn’t know what to do.”
Court records show that Ashford and Rucker are due in court on May 27 at 8:15 a.m. for a hearing.
