(WFRV) – A northeast Wisconsin man facing a 1st-degree intentional homicide charge for allegedly stabbing and killing his grandmother has entered into a not guilty plea by reason of mental disease or defect.
Court records show that 36-year-old Randy Darius Jenks appeared in court in custody on Monday for a preliminary hearing.

A witness was cross-examined during the proceeding, leading to the court finding probable cause, resulting in Jenks being bound over for trial.
On Jenks’ behalf, his attorney entered him into a not guilty plea by reason of mental disease or defect. An evaluation was ordered by the court and Jenks is scheduled to be back in court for a status conference at 10:00 a.m. on June 24.
