SHIOCTON, Wis. (WFRV) – Village of Shiocton officials have provided an update on the massive flooding impacting the Village, noting that it is not improving and that the Wolf River’s water levels are at an all-time high.
Village officials say they met with multiple agencies, including the Outagamie County Emergency Management, County Supervisor Tom Nelson, Shiocton PD, Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and other fire departments.
As of Friday morning, the Wolf River is at 15.1′, which Village officials say is an all-time record. It was also noted that the majority of Village streets are impassable, and the River has not yet crested.

With Friday afternoon’s forecast showing strong winds, heavy rain up to 2″, and severe storms likely, concerns for downed powerlines and power outages are a primary focus and concern.
Village officials are telling the public to stay out of the area for safety reasons. Any residents who need medication, clothing, or other essential items will not be allowed to enter the Village and are asked to report to the Red Cross shelter at 507 South Maple Street in Black Creek for assistance.
It was noted that Gold Cross Ambulance and Outagamie County Sheriff’s deputies have measures in place to get residents with medical emergencies out of the village.
Flood ravaged communities prepare for things to get worse
City officials say that their biggest need at the moment is volunteers to fill sandbags at the Ellington Fire Department.
Vehicles causing wake will not be allowed back in, and 1-2 mph is the maximum speed that authorities are allowing.
