(WFRV) – After a district employee sent a letter to families saying students in grades three through six could not bring highly caffeinated beverages to school, Luxemburg Casco School District sent out a follow-up letter.
An employee with the Luxemburg-Casco School District sent a letter to parents saying elementary-aged students could not bring or drink highly caffeinated beverages to school.

However, the Luxemburg-Casco School District sent a follow-up letter to parents stating that bringing the drinks to school is not expressly prohibited.
The follow-up letter did say the school district is committed to following USDA nutrition guidelines and practices and promotes healthy eating habits.
School officials urged parents/guardians to opt for healthy nutritional choices when sending lunches, drinks, and snacks to school.
