(NEXSTAR) – Coke is playing on our patriotism with its latest promotion.
In honor of America’s upcoming 250th birthday, Coca-Cola is debuting a limited-edition series of 52 mini cans “highlighting iconic local symbols” from every state, along with D.C. and Puerto Rico.
“Each image celebrates something that is unique and special to that state/district/territory, bringing it to life by cleverly incorporating Coca-Cola imagery into the design,” a spokesperson for the company told Nexstar.

Many of the references represented by the imagery will be immediately recognizable to residents of certain states, though some may be less familiar to those outside of their borders. California’s can, for instance, depicts a surfer, while Wisconsin’s is a block of cheese. But the mini can representing North Dakota appears to feature a mountain laurel (the state flower) and the one representing Minnesota has the eight-pointed star seen on the state’s flag.

Coca-Cola, a “signature partner” of the bipartisan America250 initiative, is also offering consumers the chance to win prizes by scanning packaging or cups associated with its America250 partnership. Some of the prizes include “the opportunity to win a new Jeep” and collectible pins showcasing the same state-inspired emblems on the can, according to Coca-Cola
Participants can learn more about the sweepstakes — or submit an entry without making a purchase at all — at Coca-Cola’s official website.
Coke’s state-themed mini cans are available starting this month and “throughout 2026,” a representative for the company confirmed. Packs of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Coke Zero mini cans will feature the emblems; Coke’s 12-ounce cans will not.
