IRON COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Deputies in northern Wisconsin are telling residents to turn in counterfeit money after getting multiple calls of people finding movie prop currency in Iron County.
A Facebook post from the Iron County Sheriff’s Office shows the counterfeit money that is labeled with “Motion Picture Purposes” and has Chinese writing on it.

The bills shown are labeled as $20 and $100 bills, and deputies are warning anyone who tries to use these bills that they could be charged with Uttering Forged Material.

The post states that multiple calls have been received from people who have found the bills on the ground. Anyone who finds these counterfeit bills is asked to turn them into local law enforcement.
