KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in southern Wisconsin say a 60-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a train Thursday morning.
According to a release from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 10:03 a.m. to the Canadian Pacific railroad tracks on the 3800 block of an unnamed road after a worker found a man unresponsive.

Officials say an initial investigation shows that 60-year-old Kirk Sax was believed to have been hit by a moving train and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say they are considering the possibility that Sax may have been attempting to board the moving train or had fallen between the train cars. They add that there is no evidence to suggest the incident involved any criminal activity.
No other information is available at this time, and an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
