MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – One person is dead and three others are hurt after a vehicle in Wisconsin crashed into a tree early Tuesday morning.
According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers responded around 12:30 a.m. to the 500 block of South Midvale Lane for reports of a vehicle hitting a tree.
Officials say multiple people were surrounding the vehicle as officers arrived on the scene, telling them that they had helped pull three passengers from the vehicle.

The three passengers pulled from the vehicle were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The driver, a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple witnesses told police that they had seen the vehicle speeding prior to it crashing into the tree.
No other information is available at this time as an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
