The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
Quiet and cool weather spring weather anticipated Friday ahead of the next storm system that will bring more rain and ice to northeast Wisconsin. The good news is that icing will be not be as widespread as Thursday’s event, primarily staying north/west of the Fox Cities Friday night into Saturday morning. An ICE STORM WARNING has been reissued for counties around and north of Highway 29.
Most of our larger population areas in the Valley will get rain and maybe a few non-severe thundershowers. More ice-covered trees and powerlines are anticipated in the warning area, along with a chance for slick travel into early Saturday. Power outages are possible as that ice accretion weighs down tree branches, causing branches to break and cutting out the power to some communities. On the other hand, the ground is now saturated from the recent precipitation, so adding another 0.5″ to 1″ of rainfall into the weekend could cause some flooding or ponding concerns.

Friday, more clouds than sunshine with a cool high of 44 degrees. Rain showers develop later in the day.
Rain and a few thundershowers Friday night, with a mix of sleet or freezing rain to the north/west of the Fox Valley. Significant icing possible in some spots late. The low is 33 degrees, cooler to the north.
Morning rain showers Saturday, some icy weather to the north. In the afternoon, cloudy and breezy with a high of 46 degrees. A couple isolated snowflakes may fall Saturday night.
Easter Sunday will show us morning clouds and a chance for afternoon sunshine. Easter egg hunts may be a bit muddy this year. A chilly breeze will hang on in the afternoon with a high of 47 degrees.
