GREENVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Outagamie County say they have arrested a man for arson and attempted homicide following a recent fire at a Village of Greenville home.
According to a release from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, crews from the Greenville Fire Department responded shortly after midnight on March 19 to reports of a garage fire.
The owner of the home that the garage is attached to was at home at the time of the incident and discovered and reported the fire.

An investigation started by the Greenville Fire Department, and assisted further by the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation and the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, found suspicious circumstances leading officials to believe that the fire was not an accident.
On Tuesday, March 31, 47-year-old Nicholas N. Grundman was arrested for starting the fire, resulting in the following potential charges:
- First Degree Attempted Homicide
- Arson
- Stalking
- 3 counts of Criminal Damage to Property
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
