GAYS MILLS, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say a hit-and-run incident left a vehicle damaged early Sunday morning.
According to a release from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 2:30 a.m. to 113 Main Street in the Village of Gays Mills for reports of a parked vehicle being hit.
Witnesses told officials that the striking vehicles left the scene immediately, continuing eastbound on State Highway 171 following the incident, and failed to notify the owner of the parked car or law enforcement.

The striking vehicle is being described as a dark colored, older model SUV, similar looking to a Jeep. Deputies say the vehicle should be showing heavy front-end damage on its right side.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Crawford County Crime Stoppers. Anyone who submits a tip can remain anonymous and potentially earn a reward of up to $1,000 should the tip lead to solving a crime with an arrest, charges being filed, and/or the recovery of stolen property.
