The two dogs, one having a tan coat and the other having a grey/reddish/tan coat with a white stomach, attacked the cat in the ditch and caused fatal injuries.
Following the attack, officials say an early 2000s white sedan drove to the scene, retrieved the two dogs, and fled from the area. The occupants of the vehicle were described as a 20s to 30s-aged black man with dreadlocks and a 20s to 30s-aged white woman with a larger figure.
It is unknown where the owners of the dogs live, but the homeowner where the cat was attacked hit the suspect vehicle on the left rear bumper with a shovel, possibly causing minor damage. The dog owners are believed to have some ties to either the Fox Crossing or the Menasha area.
