APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A driver in Appleton is now in custody after a K-9 was able to sniff out drugs during a recent traffic stop, Authorities say.
According to a release from the Appleton Police Department, officers recently saw a vehicle make an improper right-hand turn when leaving a parking lot and also noticed that the vehicle was missing its muffler.

Officials say the officers conducted a traffic stop with the driver of the vehicle providing police with a license that came back showing a revoked driving status.
A K-9 unit was called to the scene, with the K-9 being deployed and alerting on the vehicle for the presence of narcotics. Police searched the vehicle and recovered an undisclosed amount of THC and Methamphetamine.
The driver was then arrested on charges of Operating After Revocation and Possession of Methamphetamine.
