OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Outagamie County are urging people to stay away from the water due to rising levels.
According to an Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office release, a ‘No Wake Order’ has been issued and is effective immediately on all waterways in the area, citing Outagamie Ordinance 34-25.

“During a declared flood emergency, no person shall operate a boat faster than slow-no-wake in the waters of Outagamie County whenever traveling within 500 feet of any permanent building, structure, bridge or pier. This does not include a floating raft.”
Officials say the order will be lifted once waterway levels are no longer in/above the National Weather Service’s Action Stage. The Sheriff’s Office monitors waterway levels through the NWS’ Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service’s Shiocton Location.
