GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – After being closed on Monday, officials with Green Bay Metro say their services will reopen on Tuesday, but will be delayed by two hours.
According to a release, the two-hour delay on Tuesday will include city buses, GBM On Demand, and paratransit services.
Dangerous travel, lots of cleanup on day two of winter storm in Wisconsin
Officials warn travelers that many bus tops will be snow-covered as it takes about 5 to 7 service days to get them shoveled. Those looking to use the Green Bay Metro services should make sure to dress for the weather and be prepared for delays.
They also say not to stand in the snow banks to board the bus and to go to the next safest station and flag the bus. Drivers will be doing their best to ensure the safest ride possible and will not board or alight someone standing in a snow bank.
Officials say that to help minimize the time spent out in the weather, make sure to use Green Bay Metro’s ‘REAL-TIME’ data to track each bus.
