(WFRV) – Just three games separate our Northeast Wisconsin high school boys basketball programs from a state championship, but, before that, they had to win their sectional semi-final games.
The game of the night happened right in our backyard over in Ashwaubenon, Seymour vs. Freedom (D3), and it was the Thunder coming out with the victory.
Seymour will meet Xavier in its sectional final, after the Hawks upset Brillion in their sectional semi-final game.
In an all-FVA meeting between Neenah and Kaukauna (D1), it was the Ghosts winning this one, setting up a sectional final matchup with Appleton North, who beat Marshfield.
In some FRCC post-season action, Notre Dame Academy took down West De Pere (D2) in a back-and-forth affair that went down to the wire.
In D4, Bonduel upset Kewaunee to advance to its section final, and in D5, Reedsville dominated Elkhart Lake.
