(WFRV) – One man is now in custody after police recovered multiple firearms and a large stash of methamphetamine and fentanyl on Thursday morning, authorities said.
Wisconsin man arrested following online threats against judge, sheriff’s office
According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers, along with personnel from the Dane County Narcotics Task Force, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, responded around 9:00 a.m. to the 2500 block of South Stoughton Road to arrest a man who had an active federal arrest warrant for drug-related charges.
Michael Ware was taken into custody and was found to be in possession of a .45 caliber pistol and illegal drugs at the time of the arrest.

Following the arrest, a search warrant was carried out at Ware’s home on the 4600 block of Dennis Drive in the Town of Burke, resulting in the seizure of over 1,600 grams of methamphetamine, 530 grams of fentanyl, 114 grams of cocaine, a 9MM pistol, an AR-15 style firearm with an obliterated serial number, and a stolen vehicle.
Ware now faces additional drug and weapons-related charges. No other information is available at this time.
