Launched in 2018 as a partnership between the Green Bay Packers Foundation and the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, the event has grown steadily over the years. Organizers say what began with 30 participating organizations has expanded to 50 this year.
“It’s a really fun day for us to celebrate the wonderful work that nonprofits are doing all across Brown County,” Dennis Buehler, Greater Green Bay Community Foundation CEO and President, said.
This year’s event features more than $550,000 in matching funds and incentives to boost donations. Since its inception, Give Big Green Bay has raised more than $17 million to support local nonprofits.
Participating organizations represent a wide range of services, including mental health care, crisis management, victim advocacy, parent education and youth development programs.
The event also highlights nonprofits dedicated to animal welfare and housing assistance, underscoring the broad spectrum of needs within the community.
Organizers say the annual giving day not only raises critical funding but also shines a spotlight on the essential work being done throughout the region.
