NEW LONDON, Wis. (WFRV) – Police released information about a drug search that happened last week at an elementary school in New London.

According to the New London Police Department, on February 12, it did a K9 drug search in the Lincoln Elementary parking lot. Authorities say the dog alerted on a vehicle.
The officers contacted the owner of the vehicle, identified as an employee of the School District of New London.
The employee was reportedly found in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. They were also taken to the Waupaca County Jail, the release said.
Authorities worked with the district to notify parents/guardians and the staff who was directly affected.
The incident is still under investigation and no additional details were released.
