(NEXSTAR) – Savannah Guthrie shared a message to “whoever has” her mother Nancy Guthrie, urging the 84-year-old’s abductor to return her to family in an Instagram video on Sunday night.
“It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken and I just wanted to come on and say that, um, we still have hope. And we still believe,” Savannah Guthrie said in the video. “And I wanted to say to whoever has her, or knows where she is, that it’s never too late, and you’re not lost or alone. And it is never too late to do the right thing, and we are here.”
Authorities have been searching for Nancy Guthrie since Feb. 1, the day she was reported missing to local officials. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI do not have any suspects or persons of interest in custody, and have provided sporadic updates on their search efforts to the public.

In the weeks since Guthrie’s disappearance, officials have confirmed that blood found on the porch was a match to Guthrie’s. They were also able to recover footage from her doorbell camera showing a masked man carrying a holstered gun to her front door. Days later, the FBI called the person a suspect, describing him as 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build. The agency said he was carrying a 25-liter “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack.
On Sunday, the FBI said that a glove found a few miles from Guthrie’s home appeared to match those from the surveillance footage. It has since been sent out for DNA testing, authorities confirmed.

But frustrations have been growing with officials over their handling of the Guthrie investigation, first after authorities processed her home and prematurely turned it back over to family. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos later admitted that may have been a mistake.
A pizza delivery man was also able to walk across Guthrie’s property amid an active investigation, and before deputies noticed.
“We can’t believe we have to say this, but media on scene: please do not order food delivery to a crime scene address. This interferes with an active investigation. Please also respect private property laws,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Office said of the incident.
The Pima County Sheriff and the FBI had earlier announced phone numbers and a website to offer tips. The FBI confirmed that 13,000 tips had been submitted since Feb. 1, while the sheriff’s department said it has taken at least 18,000 calls.
The sheriff’s department has not said whether any tips have advanced the investigation.

Meanwhile, Guthrie’s family has appeared in Instagram videos appealing directly to the abductor, saying they had wanted to talk and even revealing that they were willing to pay a ransom. A video shared Thursday on Savannah Guthrie’s Instagram page was simply a home video from her younger years, and a promise to “never give up on her.”
The family’s Instagram videos have shifted in tone from impassioned pleas to whoever may have their mom, saying they want to talk and are even willing to pay a ransom, to bleaker and more desperate requests for the public’s help. A video on Thursday was simply a home video of their mother and a promise to “never give up on her.”
“Bring her home,” Guthrie wrote along her latest video, shared Sunday night. “It’s never too late to do the next right thing.”
