The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
After a week of Canadian wildfire smoke problems in Wisconsin, we are expecting the conditions to improve soon. The current Air Quality Alert will run until noon today, and we are hearing grumblings from the National Weather Service and the DNR that it may not be extended! Our local smoke will thin out through tonight and will be much better by Thursday morning as southerly winds push the ground smoke back into Canada.
Today, a bit humid and smoky with partly cloudy skies. The high is 84 degrees. SE winds from 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Less smoky tonight under partly cloudy skies. Humidity also lowers again. The low temperature is 65 degrees.
Muggy weather in the tropical category on Thursday. We’ll have a chance for spotty showers and thunderstorms, and the best chance appears to be in the afternoon/early evening hours. The high is 84 degrees again, but it will feel warmer with the added humidity.
Muggy and mostly sunny Friday with a high of 87 degrees! A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible.
Saturday will be muggy and hot again with a high of 87 degrees. There is a chance for thunderstorms again, especially late in the day. That could impact the Packers-Jets preseason matchup that begins at 7 pm at Lambeau Field.
Sunday, muggy and 82 degrees with scattered thunderstorms.
