GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Gymnasts from YMCA locations nationwide are in Green Bay for the 2025 National Championships, and during the opening ceremony today, the crowd got to hear from quite an experienced athlete in their sport.
Team USA’s Jordan Chiles, a gold medal winner at the 2024 Paris Olympics, was at the opening ceremony to deliver a speech, inspiring the young gymnasts to make the weekend one to remember.

“Let this weekend be something you get to remember and cherish,” Chiles said. “Go into each event with passion, grace, trust and confidence.”
The crowd also had a chance to ask the Olympian questions about her career and experiences that led her to where she is now.
The 2025 YMCA National Gymnastics Championship takes place at the Resch Center, hosting about 2,000 athletes nationwide from ages 6 to 20, with the event taking place from June 26-28.
