The other finalist is Eric Jeltema, also a 21-year veteran of the department. Jeltema currently serves as Assistant Chief of EMS, Training and Support Services and interim co-chief.
“After a thorough review of nearly 30 candidates from across the nation, the two most qualified to be our next Chief are already serving us,” said Commission President Rod Goldhahn. “This speaks volumes for the quality of the men and women of our department and their ability to grow strong, respected leaders.”
Goldhahn said the Green Bay Metro Fire Department is known for excellence in providing fire and EMS services to residents in Green Bay, Allouez and Bellevue.
