ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Ashwaubenon High School Tech Ed Department welcomed representatives from the Brown County Home Builders Association for a surprise award presentation recognizing a student’s excellence in residential design.
Members of the BCHBA were on hand to announce the winner of the annual Home Plan Design Competition, which challenges students across Brown County to create professional-grade home designs.

Sophomore Collin Demars was named this year’s winner.

“At the start, I just worked as hard as I could toward the project,” Demars said. “This really means a lot to me.”
The winning design was developed as part of a core assignment in Ashwaubenon High School’s Civil Engineering and Architecture course. Throughout the semester, students followed a detailed engineering design process to create functional and visually appealing home plans that met criteria established by industry professionals.
