The one-day event saw numerous care teams head out to various large facilities, like school gymnasiums, offering essential screenings, services and support across Milwaukee, Racine and Appleton.
The goal wasn’t just to help people get essential checkups, but was specifically designed for those who may struggle to find affordable care, many of the attendees going without insurance or with lower-tiered insurance.
“I haven’t seen a doctor in years because of the cost and I lost my insurance,” one person said via a release. “Being able to receive a full physical, dental screening and prescriptions, all in one place at no cost, is a tremendous blessing. This day made a real difference for my family.”
