FITCHBURG, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say a residential care worker is now formally charged after allegedly sexually assaulting vulnerable elderly residents.
According to a release from the Fitchburg Police Department, officers were notified on Sunday, April 26, of vulnerable residents at a residential care facility on the 5700 block of Chapel Valley Road, possibly being assaulted by an employee.
Following an investigation, 23-year-old Julio Morales-Jarquin was formally charged on Wednesday with two counts of 2nd-Degree Sexual Assault, with each count having a modifier of Increased Penalty for Elder Person Victim.

Police say they remain committed to keeping vulnerable members of the community safe and are working with the administration at the facility and protective services to ensure the well-being of all the residents at the facility.
Court records show Morales-Jarquin is due to appear in court on May 6 at 2:30 p.m. for a preliminary hearing. No other information is available at this time as the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
