NEW LONDON, Wis. (WFRV) – One student in New London got all the treatment one would expect on a big Signing Day, but with a unique twist.
This Signing Day was not about the usual sports typically affiliated with this kind of event, but instead, the Signing Day event marked the start of a career path right out of high school for one senior.
De Pere Library to host the Green Bay Area Model Railroad Club
On Monday night, New London senior Brice Guyette officially signed as a carpentry apprentice. Combine the signing with the youth apprenticeship program he his apart of and that give Guyette a head start in the trades and a direct route into the workforce following graduation.
It’s pretty cool to get a jumpstart on my career. When I heard about that, I was definitely all over that, so when I graduate here in about a month or so, should be ready to roll.

The Signing Day event was hosted by Miron Construction.
