According to the Sparta Police Department, Dawn Justin of Sparta refused to stop for police on April 22 when an officer attempted a traffic stop in downtown, thus causing the slow pursuit.
Officials say the pursuit went on for over six minutes, as she drove at speeds around 3-5 miles per hour, refusing continued commands and emergency sirens from officers.
According to the release and video footage, she also refused to stop even as officers exited and approached her vehicle in an attempt to open the doors.
The video showed continuous refusal to comply with traffic signs even at slow speeds in the downtown district, which forced others to stop or move out of the way to avoid collision.

One officer was treated for minor injuries.
