(WFRV) – A woman who Wisconsin officials say is illegally in the United States was sentenced to multiple years in prison for 50+ animal cruelty-related charges.

Court records show that Margarita Arrieta-Alcaide was in court while in custody for her sentencing hearing on 54 convictions, 53 of which are listed as misdemeanors.
The sentencing is as follows:
- Count 1—Felony Mistreatment of Animals/Causing Death (Party to a Crime)
- One year of initial confinement with two years of extended supervision
- Counts 2 and 28—Misdemeanor Intentionally Mistreat Animals (Party to a Crime) and
Intentional/Improper Animal Shelter-Sanitation (Party to a Crime)- Eight months in Kenosha County Jail, consecutive to Count 1
- Counts 3 and 29—Misdemeanor Intentionally Mistreat Animals (Party to a Crime) and Intentional/Improper Animal Shelter-Sanitation (Party to a Crime)
- Eight months in Kenosha County Jail, consecutive to Counts 1, 2 and 28
- Counts 4 and 30—Misdemeanor Intentionally Mistreat Animals (Party to a Crime) and Intentional/Improper Animal Shelter-Sanitation (Party to a Crime)
- Eight months in Kenosha County Jail, consecutive to Counts 1, 2, 3, 28 and 29
- Counts 5-8—Misdemeanor Intentionally Mistreat Animals (Party to a Crime)
- Eight months in Kenosha County Jail, consecutive to Counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 28, 29 and 30
The remainder of the counts, 9-27 and 31-54, resulted in a six-month County Jail sentence concurrent to each other, but as consecutive sentences to the prior listed charges.

Charges 9-27 are listed as Misdemeanor Intentional Mistreatment of Animals as a party to a crime, while the remaining charges, 31-54, are for Intentional Improper Animal Sheltering for Sanitation issues, also as a party to a crime.
The overall sentence is about 50 months behind bars, 38 of which come in the Kenosha County Jail; however, 146 days have been credited as served.
