OCONTO COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – With widespread rainfall leading to floods or nearing flood territory, Oconto County is offering assistance for those who may need it.
According to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, pre-filled bags are free for all, but only a limited amount is available.
Authorities across northeast Wisconsin share one common message amid ongoing flooding
Officials say they are available for pickup at the Oconto County Recycling Center in Oconto at 153 Evergreen Road.
Anybody in need is urged to be prepared and plan accordingly; however, as each bag weighs about 40 pounds, people are encouraged to bring another person with them to help.
