(WFRV) – The victim who died after being hit by a semi-truck Sunday afternoon on I-43 in Sheboygan County has now been identified.
According to a release from the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 4:12 p.m. to I-43 North near Garton Road in the Town of Mosel for reports of a man who had been hit by a semi truck.

The man, identified as 48-year-old Jason Landgraf from Sheboygan, had pulled over on the side of the interstate and exited his vehicle before being hit by the semi truck.
Landgraf was pronounced dead at the scene following unsuccessful attempts from first responders at providing life-saving measures.
Officials say there is no evidence to suggest that this incident was caused by either the current road construction on I-43, alcohol, drugs, speed, or the weather conditions at the time of the crash.
