Officials say Packer fans raised $21,000 throughout the season for the group ‘Disabled American Veterans’ through several gameday tailgate fundraisers and raffles held at the Bart Starr Tailgate Plaza outside the Resch Center.
All the money that is raised comes to Russell White Chapter 3 and that helps veterans with rent, utilities car payments, whatever they find they need assistance for. This money is able to help them come back on their feet.
Matt Kempainen, DAV Wisconsin Adjutant
Kempainen added that each of the last five Packers seasons has seen fans raise at least $20,000 for disabled veterans.
