GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Early Sunday morning, firefighters in Green Bay worked to control a house fire on North Buchanan Street that ended up causing roughly $100,000 in estimated damages.
According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews were called to the 800 block of North Buchanan Street around 4:45 a.m. on April 5.
Crews arrived to find a detached garage and a vehicle heavily involved in flames. Authorities say that surrounding power lines and a nearby garage were exposed to the flames due to high winds, but only sustained minimal damage.

All the home’s residents were able to safely evacuate after being alerted by a passerby, and the fire was under control within 10 minutes.
No residents were injured or displaced, and the cause is currently under investigation.
