PENSAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 48-year-old man was pronounced dead on Sunday following a truck and UTV crash in Oconto County, where the driver was arrested on a suspected OWI.
According to a release from the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were called to a truck and UTV crash on Old 41 Road at Vermeiren Road in Pensaukee around 3:25 a.m. on April 5.
Deputies arrived to find a 48-year-old man from Little Suamico lying on the ground. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital following life-saving measures.

The driver of the truck was identified as a 24-year-old man also from Little Suamico. He was uninjured.
Based on a preliminary investigation, deputies say the truck was southbound on Old 41 Road when it allegedly crashed into the southbound UTV. Deputies believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
As a result of the investigation, the driver of the truck was arrested, and charges will be referred to the Oconto County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
