OCONTO, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Oconto say no one is hurt after a flat tire led to a vehicle catching on fire Sunday afternoon.
According to a release from the Oconto Fire & Rescue, crews responded at 4:03 p.m. to County Highway N for reports of a car tire catching on fire.

Firefighters quickly worked to open the hood of the vehicle to gain access to the engine compartment before putting out the flames. Crews then performed overhaul work, cooled off any hot spots, and investigated the incident, determining that excessive heat from driving on a flat tire was the cause of the fire.
Officials add that no one was hurt during the incident.
