MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – While the Brewers scored a big win Thursday afternoon, about a week ago, two felons struck out and were arrested after a pursuit ended near American Family Field.
According to a release from the West Allis Police Department, officers initially conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and passenger, who fled as the officer returned to their squad car, leading to a pursuit.
Officials say the pursuit eventually reached the area around American Family Field, where police made a successful PIT maneuver to safely bring the pursuit to an end.
An investigation revealed that both the driver and the passenger were convicted felons, and a search of their vehicle found a firearm with an extended magazine, an unknown amount of marijuana, digital scales, and a large amount of U.S. currency.
Both individuals were taken into custody without any further incident. The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office has charged the driver with Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Fleeing, and Possession with Intent to Deliver (Marijuana). Charges for the passenger are said to be pending.
