The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
A double doozy of chilly temperatures and a chance of snow showers incoming on this Friday, giving us a little taste of winter again. Make sure you have a jacket or a winter coat with you when you leave for the day. Highs will be in the 30s, about 5 to 10 degrees colder than our average high for March 27th.
Let’s talk snow. This is not a chance for accumulating snow and shoveling, more of a nuisance snow that will roll in this afternoon between noon and 6pm. This could be as simple as some falling flurries in a few spots, but there may also be an isolated burst of heavy snow that could quickly reduce visibility on the roads; something to keep in the back of your mind for the afternoon. The only accumulation will occur on the grass, if any, since the roads are a little too warm to support gathering snowflakes.
Saturday will start chilly again with a bit of morning sun, then clouds will thicken up again as warmer air rushes into the badger state. Highs in the 40s are expected. There is a small chance to see a light shower over the north in the afternoon.
The pick day of the weekend is Sunday as the combination of southerly winds and sunshine will push highs up around 60 degrees!
You can plan on rain for the last days of this month, primarily Monday night and Tuesday next week. Not only just rain showers, but a cold front could produce some thunderstorms in the afternoon Tuesday next week. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer.
