(WFRV) – While Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents have gone without pay due to an ongoing partial shutdown, local bakeries and restaurants are stepping up.
Green Bay’s Republic Chophouse showed appreciation for local agents by dropping off cakes for TSA at security checkpoints, and then the steakhouse invited the popular bakery Uncle Mike’s to join the challenge.

Uncle Mike’s accepted the challenge and decided to drop off some of its world-famous Kringle at Austin Straubel International Airport and Appleton International Airport for agents on Wednesday.
The popular bakery then proceeded to challenge De Pere’s Delights Bakery and Cafe to join the warmhearted initiative, all in the name of helping the many agents who have gone over a month without pay.
