WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – A critical officer-involved incident on Thursday morning in southeastern Wisconsin left a suspect believed to have felony arrest warrants dead.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called by colleagues in the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office about a terminated pursuit of a driver with possible felony arrest warrants.

The incident was reported around 9:12 a.m., and the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office found the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop; however, the suspect vehicle fled, prompting a pursuit.
The suspect vehicle became disabled in a field during the pursuit, at which point an armed man left the vehicle and brandished a handgun. Deputies responded with deadly force and recovered a handgun near the suspect at the scene.
The suspect died at the scene after emergency medical assistance, and an independent investigation will be performed through the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.
