WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – A county in Wisconsin unanimously voted to send a proposal that would add Charlie Kirk’s name to a portion of a county highway to the full board for a vote.
According to Washington County’s board website, a packet for the Executive Committee meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday included two resolutions relating to the late political commentator who was shot and killed in September while speaking at Utah Valley University.

The two resolutions would authorize the road name overlay of ‘Charlie J. Kirk Way’ to part of County Trunk Highway K (CTH K). The resolution cites Kirk’s religious faith and outspokenness.
The second resolution relating to this seeks to allocate about $50,000 from a General Fund Transfer to cover the cost of the sign, if approved.
The resolutions were passed by the Executive Committee, and they now head to the full county board for a vote on April 21, according to WFRV’s Milwaukee affiliate, CBS 58.
