GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Since students weren’t in school Monday or Tuesday, educators had to get a little creative to engage with students at home—thus, the Jump in the Snow challenge was born.
The challenge was prompted by one of the students whose mom texted a group, and then more students joined in, before another challenged Green Bay Pilgrim Lutheran Church Principal Josh Sommermeyer to do it.

And well, Principal Sommermeyer did it, in quite a chaotic and humorous fashion.
In the video player above, you’ll see Principal Sommermeyer, donning just shorts, boots, a short-sleeved shirt and a beanie, belly-flop style jumping into a mound of snow, encouraging kids to get in on the fun.
So, if you decide to get in on the fun, feel free to send it in to us at Local 5, but be careful, it’s cold!
